This page covers the family history of an American Cone family. Most of the information covered on this site involves the descendants of William Cone, Revolutionary Soldier. There is no direct link yet found between William and his ancestors. It was thought that William was a descendent of Daniel Cone and Mehitable Spencer. Through a DNA search this was found to be inaccurate. DNA research to locate his ancestors is ongoing.

HOW TO FIND YOUR NAME:

Listed below are links to Ed’s family databases. Because of the quantity of names listed, the families were divided into several web pages in order to lessen the time necessary to load the pages. William Cone, R.S., is the oldest ancestor listed and his site gives some interesting information about him and also lists his children. Click on William Cone, R.S., and then you can click on his children’s names to go to each of their pages. Ed’s line goes from William, R.S., through Joseph Cone to James D. Cone.

If you know that you are in Ed’s line, you can click on James D. Cone. This page is very large and loads slowly. After loading is complete, click on Edit and Find on the toolbar at the top of your screen, and type in your first name or first and middle name. Click on Find Next. If this doesn’t bring up your name, click Find Next until you find your name. To find your children, click Find Next again.

If you are unsure of which line you are in, you can go to each site listed below, click on Edit, then Find, and then enter your name.
